Past Life Regressions

Journeying into a past life can reveal the answers to countless mysteries, large and small. It's fascinating, insightful, and FUN! In an altered state, you will actually experience another lifetime, either by seeing, hearing or sensing the events that unfold around you. You will feel yourself in another body, in another time, interacting with other new or familiar souls. This is not a case of someone else telling you what you once were--you actually experience it yourself, and you are conscious and in control the entire time. You will understand and remember everything you experience.

Your reviewing of a past life can help in countless ways. You can:

Understand why you have an immediate or intense like or dislike for others;
Explain your fascination with a past period or exotic culture;
Discover the initial event where a phobia originated;
Understand the pattern of a relationship that seems to be out of control;
Retrieve a skill or talent that you had once and need again now;
Discover the beginnings of strong, out-of-proportion feelings;

Retrieve the knowledge you need to resolve a current dilemma.

    Interlife Explorations

Is there really a plan to our lives, or is it all just chance and accident?

Is there really such a thing as pre-destination? Or free will?

Where do we come from? Where do we go when we die?

Understand all this and more by going "home" to the spirit plane between lives on Earth. Relatively new in the techniques of hypnosis, Interlife Explorations take you to a place of higher consciousness where you get the "Big Picture," where you understand more than you ever thought possible. Experience the incomparable feeling of being in the presence of the Source of us all. Meet the spirit guides that help you evaluate your last life lived--not whether it was a success or failure--but whether you accomplished all that you set out to do. Experience and remember the choices you made when setting up this current life--who you chose to interact with, what era, family and culture you chose to incarnate into. Understand the relationships and situations of your life, including the "challenges."

Note: A belief in reincarnation is not necessary for either past life or interlife sessions; these techniques work just as well when viewed as a metaphor, and the psyche still reveals the patterns in question. No attempt will be made to change your own belief system.

    Alchemical Hypnotherapy

A powerful technique made up of diverse tools, Alchemical Hypnotherapy allows you to delve into your own subconscious and retrieve the lost parts of yourself that may have been submerged as you grew up and adapted to your family or culture. Throughout our lives, we all learn that some traits or abilities are either discounted or considered useless, and others may be outright detrimental to our survival, so we disown those traits and bury them in our subconscious. Carl Jung called this place of buried treasure the Shadow, and said that the content of the Shadow is 90% pure gold. Think about it: who told you that you couldn't sing? Had no artistic talent whatsoever? Couldn't graduate from college? Had no head for science or math? Alchemical Hypnotherapy helps you retrieve those "lost" parts of yourself and integrate those talents into your conscious psyche, moving you closer to wholeness.

Alchemical Hypnotherapy can:

Take you on a magical journey to a sacred place and meet your own Inner Guide, Inner Child, and Inner Mate. Instead of wishing and waiting for others to validate and support you, learn to validate and support yourself.

Help you recover your own inner wisdom, innocence, power, and creativity. Draw on all those suppressed talents you have within you.

Resolve inner conflicts by using the mental "Conference Room" to hear from all the parts of your psyche that have a stake in your decisions. Break out of patterns of self-sabotage and make decisions with your full mind--decisions that you can stick with.

Take you on a journey into the body to dialog with a body part that is manifesting physical symptoms of illness or disease. Most physical illness is compensating for something that we are not doing for ourselves, and it is the body's attempt to find balance. Find out what the symptoms are trying to accomplish and how you can work with your body to regain health and vitality.

Complete unfinished business with those who have died or are emotionally distant. By going to a place of higher consciousness, you are able to dialog with a person who has "passed over," who lives far away, or who has cut off communication with you. Ethereal Communication allows you to say all the things you need to say, and allows you to hear the other side of the story, paving the way for real peace and resolution between souls. It's never too late to reconnect.

Dialog with the not-yet-born. Ethereal Communication can also connect you to a soul-in-waiting. Do you have doubts about having a child? Are you undecided about what course to follow? Dialoging with the unborn opens up the path of communication, and the two of you can decide what is best for all concerned. Some women who were unsure about becoming mothers bond deeply with the unborn child, and the experience strengthens their resolve. Others, having already decided that childbirth is not a workable option, have explained the situation to the unborn child, and have afterward spontaneously aborted. Don't make these hard decisions alone; if you're pregnant, you're already part of a partnership. Make your decisions consciously and lovingly.

    Frequently Asked Questions About Hypnosis

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a very normal and natural altered state of consciousness, one we all experience from time to time. Have you ever "zoned out" while watching TV? Or driven to work on "auto pilot?" That's the same kind of altered state as hypnosis. Some misconceptions about hypnosis are that it's a magical or eerie state, or that it feels very weird, but it's actually very normal. Some people ask if they've really been hypnotized, just because it feels like such a normal state and they were expecting something otherworldly. The zombie-type states you see depicted in movies and on TV are pure fantasy.

How does it feel to be hypnotized?

You just feel as if you are relaxing in a comfortable chair with your eyes closed. You can hear everything--my voice, the sound of a car going down the street outside, the air conditioning click on and off. You're conscious the entire time, aware of everything going on around you as well as what your subconscious is revealing to you. I liken it to watching TV in one room while a radio plays in another; you can shift your awareness back and forth between the two, concentrating on one but still aware of the other.

Isn't hypnosis "mind control?"

Not at all. No one under hypnosis can be induced to do anything against their will. Whatever moral and ethical codes you hold in a normal waking state will still be in place under hypnosis. Usually, if a hypnotist's suggestion conflicts with a client's value system, the client simply brings him- or herself up out of hypnosis; they just "wake up." I always give my clients a "release mechanism" so they can bring themselves out quickly and easily anytime they feel a need to do that. They're in complete control at all times.

What about those stage hypnotists that make people do stupid things?

The "control factor" is still zero. Think about it: we've all seen or heard about those stage shows--we all have expectations about what happens there. Does anyone really think that if they volunteer to go on stage that the hypnotist will suggest they do something BRILLIANT? Anyone who volunteers is agreeing to play the part, whether they consciously admit it or not. For some, hypnosis (like alcohol) is a convenient "excuse" to act out and not take responsibility for their behavior.

How much will I remember?

You'll remember everything--everything I say and everything you experience. However, because most clients receive a great deal of information that may take days, weeks or months to really process, I encourage you to either tape the session or write your experience down as soon as possible. As with any experience, it's not unusual to lose the subtler details with the passage of time, and some of the patterns you uncover may not click into place until much later.

How deep will I go?

Depth of the hypnotic state is an idea that used to be a focal point, but lately the hypnosis community has realized that depth (or not) has little bearing. My take on this is that my clients go as deep (or stay as light) as they need to, and we still get good results. It is a fact, though, that the more hypnosis one undergoes, the greater and easier their drop down into hypnosis will be. After all the years I've been using hypnosis on myself, I can now drop down into a deep state simply by taking a few deep breaths.

How do I know if I even can be hypnotized?

All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, which means if you want to do it, you will. The very small minority of people who have difficulty in a session are usually those who a) don't really want to be hypnotized (perhaps to debunk the idea); or b) can't relax and let go enough (perhaps fearing loss of control, which we know is a myth, or the unknown) to go with the experience. Some things you can do to increase your ability to go under hypnosis easier and faster are practicing meditation, visualization, yoga or relaxation techniques.

What if I'm under a doctor's care or taking medication?

If you have any questions about whether or not hypnosis will help or conflict with a present medical condition, ask you doctor. The interesting reaction of hypnosis on medication is that, over long periods of time, it tends to "potentiate" medication, which means if you're currently taking pain pills, after a series of hypnosis sessions you may find that you need fewer doses, or a lesser strength of drug. Hypnosis can often complement traditional medical care and most doctors favor it. Please note, however, that I am not a medical doctor, and I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. I can, however, help you understand the emotional quotient of your illness and lead you to insight into the origin--and therefore the resolution--of your illness.

Can I "get stuck?"

No. Again, hypnosis is a very natural and normal state and cannot contain anyone against their will. If a client were to go so deep as to enter a truly unconscious state (a very rare occurrence), they would simply drop off to sleep and awaken when they were rested. I've had some clients jokingly protest "waking up," simply because they were enjoying the experience so much, but they all come back.
